Today's bit of wisdom is "Organising is a journey, not a destination". Unfortunately, I'm not sure who to give credit to for this little pearl, but whoever said it was pretty smart. They have obviously recognised the reality that there is never any end point with organisation because business doesn't have an end point (unless you've decided to sell up that is). So, the real wisdom here is: 1. You need to keep up with your admin on a regular basis. Doing it once every quarter will be overwhelming and time consuming. 2. Accept that you'll never be 100% done with the admin. If you're an 'anti-admin' kind of person, this might be a bitter pill to swallow. You can be pretty close to done, but the paperwork and files will just keep coming. But, the good news is....if you're an 'anti-admin' person or simply don't have time to enjoy the ongoing organisational journey, The Avid Organiser can help.
